The paperless Bihar Assembly will start its first session of the 18th Legislative Assembly on December 1. The state government wants a modern and faster working system. Therefore, MLAs will use tabs to ask questions. This digital shift will support the paperless Bihar Assembly plan and cut down the use of paper.
New tabs are already fixed on every MLA seat. Members will read documents, view notes, and submit questions through these devices. As a result, the overall work will become quicker and more organised. The NeVA system also helps the House run in a clean and efficient way.
Meanwhile, officials are completing all arrangements. They are working on security, traffic control, medical support, and cleanliness. In addition, CCTV cameras and parking spaces are being improved. Departments are coordinating so that the session runs smoothly.
The oath ceremony for the newly elected MLAs will take place on December 1. On the next day, the House will elect the Speaker. Later, the Governor will address both Houses on December 3. Debates on the Governor’s speech and the government’s reply will follow on December 4 and 5.
