Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Maharashtra from October 8 to 9 for two important days of diplomacy and development. His visit will highlight India’s growing infrastructure strength and deepen ties with the United Kingdom.
Modi will begin his trip by launching the Navi Mumbai International Airport, a project that will ease air traffic from Mumbai and support the city’s economic expansion. He will also inaugurate a new Mumbai Metro line, giving commuters faster and cleaner transport. Along with that, he plans to introduce the Mumbai One App, a digital platform that connects metro, bus, and local train services.
On October 9, the Prime Minister will meet UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Mumbai. Both leaders will discuss trade, technology, clean energy, and investment under the India-UK Vision 2035 partnership. Their meeting aims to strengthen cooperation in finance, education, and sustainable development.
Officials say Modi will also review progress under the PM Gati Shakti mission. This initiative integrates transport and logistics planning across the nation, helping industries and cities grow together.
Through this visit, Modi hopes to showcase Maharashtra’s role as India’s growth engine. His meetings and project launches reflect a single goal — linking India’s local progress with global partnerships. The trip will not only boost the state’s infrastructure but also open new opportunities for international collaboration.
