Modi, Rahul, Tejashwi, Nitish, and Mayawati Lead Fierce Campaign Ahead of Phase Two

The first phase of the Bihar Assembly Election 2025 is underway across 121 seats in 18 districts. Voting began early Thursday with strong participation reported from several regions. Ahead of the second phase on November 11, top national and state leaders are intensifying their campaigns.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally in Forbesganj, while BSP chief Mayawati is set to hold one later today. Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav, and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar are also actively campaigning across key constituencies.

According to a report by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) and Bihar Election Watch, 43 percent of the candidates contesting in the second phase are crorepatis. Around 32 percent face criminal charges, while 48 percent are graduates or hold higher qualifications.

In West Champaran, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath claimed that the NDA will win more than 100 of the 121 seats. Meanwhile, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh emphasized the government’s commitment to eradicating corruption and making Bihar a model of development.

BJP spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said Prime Minister Modi’s remarks on the 1984 Sikh massacre and Bhagalpur riots have deeply resonated with voters.
