The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has accused the BJP-NDA government of selling 1,050 acres of land in Bhagwanpur, Uttar Pradesh, for just ₹1. AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said the government bought the land from farmers at fair prices but is now giving it away to Prime Minister Modi’s associates at a token amount.
Singh added that the project could also lead to the cutting of nearly 10 lakh trees. He warned that such a move would cause massive ecological damage and hurt local communities.
The BJP-NDA has not responded so far. Meanwhile, opposition leaders accuse the ruling party of favoring allies and risking the environment for political gain.
