Madhya Pradesh is preparing for a significant cabinet reshuffle as Chief Minister Mohan Yadav completes two years in office. Party sources confirm that the long-pending cabinet expansion will happen only after the BJP announces its new national president. With JP Nadda’s term ending on 20 January 2026, the central leadership is expected to declare the new president soon, clearing the path for immediate changes in the MP cabinet.
CM Mohan Yadav has already completed detailed departmental reviews and submitted performance reports of all ministers. Independent assessments ordered by the central leadership reportedly show dissatisfaction with the output of several ministries. Only a handful of ministers are considered strong performers.
Although four cabinet posts remain vacant, insiders claim that at least four existing ministers may face removal. This reshuffle could bring nearly six new faces into the cabinet, increasing internal pressure to finalise decisions swiftly.
