In Bhopal, the district administration revised school timings due to falling temperatures. All schools from nursery to Class 8 will now open after 9:30 am. The order applies to government, private, CBSE, and ICSE schools. Officials said the decision focuses on student safety.
Ujjain administration announced a holiday for students from nursery to Class 5 on Monday. Mandsaur also recorded severe cold conditions. Authorities declared a two-day holiday for students from nursery to Class 8 in the district. Officials confirmed that similar decisions may follow in other areas.
Indore district administration announced strict measures due to continuous cold winds. Collector Shivam Verma ordered a three-day holiday for Classes 1 to 8. The order covers all government and private CBSE schools.
The Meteorological Department warned that cold wave conditions may continue for the next 20 days. Chhatarpur’s Nowgong recorded the lowest temperature at 2.5 degrees Celsius. Dense fog affected Bhopal and Ujjain. Poor visibility slowed train services, causing delays for many Delhi-bound routes. Authorities urged citizens to remain cautious.
