The Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana has entered its next phase as the Bihar government starts a fresh survey of beneficiaries. Under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana, around 1.81 crore women have received ₹10,000 each to start small businesses or income activities.
Now, the government wants to check how women used the money. Jeevika workers are visiting beneficiaries and collecting details through a mobile app. Officials aim to understand which businesses are running successfully and who qualifies for the next instalment.
Women who used the first payment properly may receive additional financial support. The scheme provides assistance in stages, and the total support can go up to ₹2 lakh for eligible beneficiaries.
Authorities also said women whose applications are still under verification will receive ₹10,000 after the process ends by March 15. The next round of payments is likely to begin in March–April.
