The Muzaffarpur Circle Officer suspension has drawn wide attention after serious allegations of corruption and negligence. Kanti Circle Officer Ruchika was suspended by the Revenue and Land Reforms Department for allegedly transferring 44 decimals of government agricultural land to a private person.
Reports show irregularities in online land mutation, Aadhaar-linked surveys, and revenue records. The Muzaffarpur Circle Officer suspension came after repeated complaints from the public and poor performance in land surveys. Authorities also suspect her of colluding with land mafia groups.
The department noted that despite repeated warnings from senior officials, she failed to follow directions. Under the Bihar Government Servants Classification, Control and Appeal Rules, 2005, strict action was taken.
District Magistrate Subodh Kumar Sen stated that such negligence in land matters will not be tolerated. He stressed that transparency and accountability are crucial, warning other officers against misuse of authority.
According to reports, the disputed land was originally used for wheat cultivation but was later shown as vacant before being transferred to a private name. The Muzaffarpur Circle Officer suspension serves as a strong message to officers handling revenue cases to act responsibly.
