Naidu Announces Visakhapatnam as Data Hub and Amaravati as Quantum Technology Hub

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday outlined the State’s vision to develop Visakhapatnam as a data centre hub and Amaravati as a quantum technology hub. Speaking in Vijayawada, he highlighted Visakhapatnam’s strategic advantages, including strong subsea cable connectivity and robust digital infrastructure, which position the city as a key node in the global data ecosystem.
The Chief Minister also said that Tirupati is being developed as a “Space City,” aimed at promoting research, innovation, and private sector investment in space technology. In addition, regions such as Anantapur and Kadapa are being earmarked for growth as major electronics and aerospace hubs, boosting industrial development and employment opportunities in the State.
Mr. Naidu emphasised that these initiatives reflect the government’s focus on futuristic industries and technology-driven growth. By leveraging infrastructure, talent, and strategic planning, Andhra Pradesh aims to attract global investments, enhance innovation, and position itself as a leader in emerging sectors such as quantum computing, aerospace, and digital technologies.
