Veteran BJP leader Nand Kishore Yadav Governor Nagaland has become a major political story in Bihar. The senior leader, who started his career as a municipal councilor, has now reached the Raj Bhavan after decades in public life.
The central leadership recently appointed Nand Kishore Yadav Governor Nagaland as part of a reshuffle of governors in several states. Yadav said he never imagined he would reach such a constitutional position when he first entered politics.
He began his political journey in 1978 as a ward councilor in the Patna Municipal Corporation. Over the years, he became a seven-time MLA from Patna Sahib and held several important roles in the Bihar government. He also served as a cabinet minister and later as Speaker of the Bihar Legislative Assembly.
When the BJP denied him an assembly ticket earlier, Yadav accepted the party’s decision calmly and said he respected the leadership’s choice.
