National Anthem Compulsory Rule: Bihar Schools Change Timetable

National Anthem compulsory rule in Bihar schools

The Bihar government has introduced a new timetable for all government schools, and the rule National Anthem compulsory before dismissal now applies across the state. The Education Department wants every school to end the day with students singing the anthem. This rule of National Anthem compulsory singing aims to build discipline and unity among students.

Schools will now run from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. Morning prayer will take place from 9:30 to 10:00 am, where teachers will check students’ uniforms, nails, and hair. Students will also sing Bihari songs along with the prayer. After that, classes will continue for eight periods.

The timetable includes fixed bell timings from the first period at 10:00 am to the last period at 4:00 pm. Lunch breaks and short breaks are also part of the schedule. All students and teachers must be present for the anthem before dismissal.

The government has also made the use of loudspeakers mandatory during the national anthem. Activities and sports will have different time slots for different classes so that every class gets equal attention.

This new model timetable aims to create a more organized school environment in Bihar.
