The working committee passed seven resolutions that highlighted major political concerns. Leaders said the special status represents the dignity and aspirations of the people and must return without delay. The party also condemned the Delhi terror attack that killed at least 15 people and injured many others. Members expressed concern over the accidental blast at Nowgam police station, calling for a high-level investigation to fix responsibility.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah spoke strongly about the need to restore statehood. He said elected governments handle security better and argued that incidents like the Delhi and Pahalgam attacks would not happen under full state control. Abdullah also raised concerns about interference in governance, pointing to issues at SKIMS, universities, and various state institutions that lack elected oversight.

He reminded the Centre of its promise to the Supreme Court: delimitation, elections, and then statehood. With two steps complete, he questioned why the final step faces delays.
