The Bihar government has appointed NDA Chief Whip Shravan Kumar of Janata Dal (United) in the state assembly. NDA Chief Whip Shravan Kumar will manage party coordination and ensure discipline during assembly sessions.
Shravan Kumar is a senior JDU leader and a cabinet minister in the Nitish Kumar government. His new role strengthens the NDA’s control over legislative work.
BJP MLA Vinod Narayan has been named deputy chief whip. He represents the Benipatti constituency and will support the chief whip inside the House.
The government has also appointed several other NDA MLAs as whips. The list includes Krishna Kumar Rishi, Manjit Kumar Singh, Raju Tiwari, Sudhanshu Shekhar, Kumar Shailendra, Ramvilas Kamat, Arun Manjhi, and Gayatri Devi.
All newly appointed whips have received the status of state ministers. The parliamentary affairs department issued the official notification.
These appointments aim to ensure smooth proceedings in the assembly. The NDA expects better coordination among its members during key debates and votes.
