NDA Sweeps Bihar Assembly Elections, BJP Wins Big
The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has delivered a resounding performance in Bihar, capturing 202 of the 243 assembly seats. The ruling bloc’s decisive victory underscores its dominance in the state. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerged as the largest single party, securing 89 seats.
Meanwhile, the Mahagatbandhan, which had hoped to challenge the NDA’s supremacy, suffered a crushing defeat, managing to win just 33 seats. The alliance’s disappointing performance points to a severe erosion of its political influence in the state.
This landslide underscores the NDA’s strong grassroots presence and effective campaign strategy in Bihar. With such a commanding majority, the alliance is well-positioned to push ahead with its governance agenda. The election results also send a clear message about the BJP’s growing appeal and the weakening of its main opposition in the region.
