BJP leader Samrat Choudhary praised the people of Bihar for handing the NDA a sweeping victory in the 2025 Assembly polls, saying the alliance will “continue working for the people of the state.” Speaking ahead of Nitish Kumar’s swearing-in ceremony, he noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would also attend the event.
BJP leaders Nitin Nabin and Vijay Sinha hailed Nitish Kumar’s return as Chief Minister for a record 10th time, calling it a mandate for development and a reaffirmation of trust in the double-engine government. LJP (RV) MP Shambhavi Choudhary described the win as historic, adding that it carries greater responsibility.
Nitish Kumar, unanimously elected NDA Legislature Party leader, will be sworn in at Patna’s historic Gandhi Maidan, a venue closely linked to his past inaugurations and iconic political moments.
The NDA secured a decisive 202 out of 243 seats, with the BJP winning 89 and JD(U) 85, while the Mahagathbandhan managed only 35 seats. The election also saw a record 67.13% voter turnout.
With top national leaders, including PM Modi and Amit Shah in attendance, the ceremony marks Nitish Kumar’s continuation of nearly two decades of leadership.
