The NEET UG 2026 paper leak case has taken a serious turn. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested a chemistry professor suspected to be the main mastermind. Officials say he played a key role in leaking the exam questions.
Investigators believe the professor had access to the question paper through contacts linked to the exam system. In the NEET UG 2026 paper leak, he allegedly shared questions with students before the exam.
Reports say he held special coaching sessions at his house in Pune. During these sessions, students wrote down questions, options, and answers in their notebooks.
Later, officials compared those notes with the actual exam paper held on May 3. Many questions matched the real paper. This discovery raised serious concerns about exam security.
CBI officials say some middlemen helped bring students to these sessions. Investigators believe students paid large amounts of money to access the leaked questions.
The investigation is still ongoing. The CBI is now trying to identify other people involved in the case.
