The Nitish Sarkar Oath Bihar marked a major moment in the state’s politics. The new NDA government, led by Nitish Kumar, aims to give fair space to every community. The Nitish Sarkar Oath Bihar event also showed how the government wants strong caste balance in the cabinet.
Nearly all major groups—Rajput, Brahmin, Bhumihar, Dalit, Vaishya, Kurmi, Kushwaha, Mallah, and Yadav—received representation. Women and Muslims also received important positions.
Nitish Kumar took oath as Chief Minister for the tenth time. Governor Arif Mohammad Khan administered the oath in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The new cabinet includes 12 fresh faces, while 19 previous ministers were replaced.
The government added ministers from upper castes, OBCs, Dalits, Kurmis, Kushwahas, Vaishyas, Bhumihars, Brahmins, Mallahs, and Yadavs. Leaders like Shreyasi Singh, Lesi Singh, Ashok Choudhary, Sanjay Paswan, Shravan Kumar, and many others received key roles.
Women ministers such as Shreyasi Singh and Lesi Singh bring strong representation. Muslim MLA Jama Khan also joined the cabinet.
Overall, the new team reflects a wide mix of communities. The NDA wants to show that every group has an equal place in Bihar’s new government.
