New Quarters for MLAs and MLCs to Be Ready by April, Says Speaker

Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Ayyanna Patrudu said that new residential quarters for MLAs and MLCs in Amaravati will be inaugurated by April 2026. He said the construction work is moving quickly and will be completed soon. These quarters are being built to provide better accommodation for legislators during Assembly sessions.

The Speaker also expressed hope that the new iconic Legislative Assembly Complex in Amaravati will be ready by the end of 2028. He said the NDA government is working with commitment to develop Amaravati as a strong and modern capital city.

According to him, once the new Assembly complex is completed, future sessions of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly will be held there. The government aims to provide modern facilities and good infrastructure in the new buildings.

The development of Amaravati is part of the larger plan to strengthen administration and improve governance in the state.
