NIA Raid in Kishanganj: Two Questioned After Former PFI Bihar Chief Arrest

NIA raid in Kishanganj during questioning of suspects linked to PFI

The NIA raid in Kishanganj continued on Friday as central agency officers questioned two local men over suspected links with the banned Popular Front of India (PFI). The NIA raid in Kishanganj is part of an ongoing probe after the arrest of the former Bihar chief of PFI, Mahboob Alam Nadvi.

Officials summoned the two men to the Kishanganj Sadar police station. Investigators questioned them for several hours about their contacts, financial activities, and possible involvement with the organisation.

This operation marked the fourth NIA visit to Kishanganj in recent months. The agency has increased surveillance in the district since Nadvi’s arrest. Officers believe the area may have served as an important network hub.

Mahboob Alam Nadvi was arrested earlier in connection with a larger terror conspiracy case registered in Bihar. The case relates to alleged attempts to spread radical ideology and disturb public order.

During the latest action, NIA teams also checked documents and gathered local intelligence. Security remained tight around the police station throughout the questioning.

Officials did not confirm any arrests on Friday. They stated that the investigation is ongoing and more people may be questioned if new leads emerge.

The NIA continues to focus on dismantling banned organisations and preventing extremist activities across the state.
