The Nishant Kumar visit to ancestral village created excitement among residents in Kalyan Bigha in Bihar’s Nalanda district. The son of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar arrived in the village for the first time after entering active politics and joining the Janata Dal (United).
Villagers and party workers gathered in large numbers to welcome him. Many supporters stood in long queues just to catch a glimpse of the young leader. Nishant Kumar said he would try to win the hearts of people in Bihar just like his father.
During the Nishant Kumar visit to ancestral village, he first offered prayers at a local temple and later paid tribute to his late mother, grandparents, and other family members at a memorial site. He also inspected a shooting range built in the village.
Nishant met villagers, elders, and women in the community and sought their blessings. He appealed for their support so he could continue the development vision started by his father in the state.
Supporters raised slogans in his favour and expressed hope that he would play a bigger role in Bihar politics in the future.
