Nitish Government Assistance Scheme aims to give stronger financial help to women in Bihar. The scheme offers support of up to Rs 2 lakh to women whose employment is running well. The Nitish Government Assistance Scheme was highlighted during the Governor’s address in the joint session of the Bihar legislature.
Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan said that women who earlier received Rs 10,000 under the Chief Minister’s Women Employment Scheme will now get additional support. This financial help will encourage more women to grow their small businesses and become independent.
The Governor also shared the government’s upcoming plans. He said that the state will work to create jobs for 10 million youth over the next five years. He added that rooftop solar panels will be installed for all willing residents in Bihar.
Before the assembly session, the Governor and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar paid tribute to former President Rajendra Prasad on his 141st birth anniversary. They also encouraged women working with the charkha by distributing sarees among them.
