AIMIM MLA Murshid Alam has created major political buzz after saying Nitish is my political guru. He repeated that Nitish is my political guru because the Chief Minister introduced him to politics in 2014. Alam said he respects Nitish Kumar’s guidance, even though he now belongs to Owaisi’s AIMIM.
Alam won the Jokihat seat by more than 28,000 votes despite the strong NDA wave. He said Nitish Kumar helped Bihar grow and thanked him for past support. But he also made it clear that he will oppose the CM if the situation demands it.
The MLA met Nitish Kumar to discuss local issues. He raised concerns about poor housing facilities and requested two new colleges and a new block (anchal) for Jokihat.
AIMIM currently has five MLAs in Bihar, similar to 2020. Earlier, four AIMIM MLAs switched to the RJD, leaving only Akhtarul Iman. This background makes Murshid Alam’s praise politically significant.
The 2025 Bihar results show JDU as the second-largest party with 85 seats, behind BJP’s 89. Analysts say Alam’s comments may indicate new political possibilities.
