Hyderabad: The Telangana State Election Commission is set to release the first phase notification today for the Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituency (ZPTC) and Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency (MPTC) elections. In this phase, elections will be held for 2,963 MPTC and 292 ZPTC seats across the state.
The nomination process will begin today and continue until October 11, with nominations accepted daily from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Polling is scheduled for October 23, and the counting of votes will take place on November 11. The second phase notification is expected to be issued on October 13.
With the model code of conduct coming into effect, political activity has intensified across the state. Major parties including Congress, BRS, and BJP are gearing up for a high-stakes rural electoral contest that will serve as a key test of grassroots support.
