The Odisha Assembly Winter Session traffic advisory has created major changes for commuters in Bhubaneswar as the Commissionerate Police prepares for the 5th Session of the 17th Odisha Legislative Assembly. The Odisha Assembly Winter Session begins on November 27 and continues until December 31, prompting tighter movement control around the high-security zone.
Police issued the advisory on Tuesday under Section 28 of the Odisha Urban Police Act and Regulation 36 of the Bhubaneswar–Cuttack Commissionerate rules. The aim is to maintain smooth traffic flow and ensure maximum security near the Assembly.
Key city routes will follow strict diversions. Vehicles heading from Housing Board Square to Rabindra Mandap will turn at Keshari Talkies Square. Drivers coming from AG Square to PMG must take a right from Jaydev Bhawan and move via IG Park Road. Vehicles from Master Canteen toward PMG will follow the adjoining lanes near Lower PMG. Traffic from 120 Infantry Battalion Square will move toward Power House Square instead of Rabindra Mandap. Movement from Raj Bhawan Square to MLA Colony or Rabindra Mandap will shift toward Sastrinagar Square.
Emergency vehicles and authorised government transport will continue to use the restricted areas without any diversion.
