The momentum for Odisha Industrial Growth Boost continues to rise as the state clears 20 new projects worth ₹4,353 crore. The Odisha Industrial Growth Boost reflects the government’s push to expand industry and create large-scale employment across the state.
During the 142nd meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja approved projects spread across 11 districts. These districts include Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Khordha, Keonjhar, Jharsuguda, Koraput, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Jagatsinghpur and Puri. The projects aim to generate 7,815 jobs, offering strong support to both coastal and western Odisha.
A floating solar power project in Sundargarh stands out among the proposals. NTPC-SAIL Power Company Limited will invest ₹710.27 crore to strengthen Odisha’s renewable energy capacity. Keonjhar also witnesses a major boost with Rashmi Metallurgical Industry’s ₹600 crore iron ore beneficiation plant, which expands the state’s mineral processing strength.
The new approvals cover several sectors such as electronics, chemicals, food processing, IT services, tourism, renewable power, aluminum downstream and infrastructure. This sectoral diversity helps Odisha grow a resilient industrial base and build long-term economic strength.
