ONGC Announces ₹10,000 Relief for Mori-5 Gas Well Blowout Victims

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) announced an ex gratia payment of ₹10,000 each for the people affected by the blowout at the Mori-5 gas well in Andhra Pradesh. The incident caused fear and inconvenience to villagers living near the gas well in the Razole Assembly constituency.
ONGC officials said the payment would be given to help families meet immediate needs. They also announced plans to build a 100-bed hospital in the area. The hospital will serve the healthcare needs of people from about 60 nearby villages. This project is expected to improve medical facilities in the rural region.
ONGC said safety measures at the gas well are being strengthened to prevent such incidents in the future. The company assured villagers that it is taking responsibility for their welfare. Local residents welcomed the announcement and hoped the promised hospital would be completed soon.
