Operation Prahar 2.0 delivered a major breakthrough against drug trafficking in Madhya Pradesh’s Mauganj district. Hanumana police arrested three men involved in illegal narcotic cough syrup trade. The operation led to seizures worth more than ₹14.20 lakh.

Police acted on a tip-off received on December 19, 2025. Informers reported a white Toyota Glanza carrying banned cough syrup from the Barkuda border. The vehicle was heading towards the Mauganj–Sidhi highway. Officers immediately set up a blockade near Motwa Pahadi.

The police team stopped the car and conducted a search. They recovered 35 bottles of narcotic cough syrup from the boot. Officers also seized ₹4.05 lakh in cash from a bag inside the vehicle. A mobile phone and the car were taken into custody.

The arrested accused were identified as Ravinandan Tiwari, Deepak Tiwari, and Shivam Gautam. All three are residents of Sidhi district. Senior police officials supervised the operation. The cyber cell also provided technical support.

Police said the accused were part of a wider supply network. Investigators are now tracing links to suppliers and buyers. Officials reiterated strict action against drug trafficking to protect public health and safety.
