Weather officials said foggy conditions are likely to continue over the next few days. They advised people to avoid unnecessary travel during early hours. Drivers should use fog lights and maintain safe speeds. Elderly people and children were advised to stay warm.
The department expects no immediate relief, though a slight rise in temperature may occur later this week.
