Overnight Israeli Airstrikes in Gaza Leave 60 Dead, Including Women and Children
At least 60 people were killed overnight in Israeli airstrikes across Gaza, according to local health officials. The Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah reported receiving 10 bodies, including three women and six children, after two strikes hit the central city. The Israeli military said the operations targeted Hamas positions and weapon storage sites following renewed rocket fire from Gaza into southern Israel. Residential areas in Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis were among those struck, leaving families trapped under debris and dozens injured. Humanitarian agencies warned that the ongoing bombardment is worsening the crisis in Gaza, where medical facilities are already overwhelmed and power shortages persist. The conflict, now in its second year of escalation, continues to claim civilian lives despite international calls for restraint and negotiations toward a ceasefire. Witnesses described the night as one of the most intense bombardments in recent weeks.
