Owaisi Slams BJP Over Seemanchal Conspiracy, Vows Fight on Waqf Land Issue

Owaisi Slams BJP Over Seemanchal

Campaigning for the second phase of the Bihar elections is heating up, and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has launched a sharp attack on major political rivals. Speaking at rallies in Araria and Jokihat on Saturday, Owaisi accused the BJP of misleading Seemanchal residents by branding them as infiltrators.

He said leaders like Nitish Kumar, Narendra Modi, Tejashwi Yadav, and Prashant Kishore were spreading false claims about him becoming Chief Minister. “This time, only a son of Seemanchal will become Chief Minister,” Owaisi declared to loud cheers from supporters.

Appealing for votes for AIMIM candidates Murshid Alam (Jokihat) and Manzoor Alam (Araria Sadar), Owaisi promised to tackle Seemanchal’s long-standing issues — flooding, erosion, poor education, and weak healthcare.

He also accused the central government of plotting to seize mosque, shrine, graveyard, and madrasa lands through the Waqf Act. “We will never allow this conspiracy to succeed,” he vowed.

Owaisi criticised the lack of development in Araria over the past decade, calling out both the NDA and the Grand Alliance for ignoring the region’s struggles. AIMIM is contesting the polls under the GDA alliance alongside Chandrashekhar Azad’s ASP and Swami Prasad Maurya’s AJP, jointly fielding candidates in 65 seats.
