Paddy Procurement in Andhra Pradesh to Begin on October 27: Minister Nadendla Manohar

Andhra Pradesh Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar announced that paddy procurement across the state will commence on October 27. Addressing the media, he said that the government has made extensive preparations to ensure a smooth process for farmers.

A total of 3,013 Rythu Seva Kendras, 2,061 paddy procurement centers, and over 10,700 staff members will be involved in the operation. The state aims to procure 51 lakh tonnes of paddy this season. Minister Manohar urged millers to actively cooperate to achieve the target.

He also assured that farmers will receive payments within 24 to 48 hours of procurement, emphasizing transparency and efficiency in the system. The initiative reflects the government’s commitment to timely support for farmers and streamlined grain procurement.
