Telangana Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said the Palamuru Project 90% Complete Claim False and accused Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) of misleading the public. He said the Palamuru Project 90% Complete Claim False narrative was political propaganda and far from the ground reality.
Speaking to the media, Uttam stated that the Palamuru–Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme still has major works pending. He said canals, distributary networks, and land acquisition remain incomplete. Because of this, the project cannot be considered close to completion.
The minister alleged that the previous BRS government spent about ₹27,000 crore on the project but failed to irrigate even a single acre of land. He also questioned how the party could claim 90% completion when many key components are still unfinished.
Uttam added that the current government has already spent around ₹7,000 crore in the last two years to speed up the works. He assured that the government will complete the project and deliver irrigation benefits to farmers in drought-prone districts.
