Actor Parag Tyagi has clarified the circumstances surrounding his late wife Shefali Jariwala’s death, refuting claims that she died after consuming anti-ageing drugs. Shefali, famous for the hit song ‘Kaanta Laga,’ passed away on June 27 at her Mumbai home at the age of 42, reportedly due to cardiac arrest.
In a video on his YouTube channel, Tyagi dismissed rumours, calling them “half-baked information.” He explained that Shefali regularly received monthly IV drips containing multivitamins, Vitamin C, collagen, and glutathione, as she often forgot daily supplements. “Which of these were anti-ageing medicines? Shefali focused on self-care and health, not shortcuts,” he said.
Tyagi also addressed claims that Shefali was fasting on the day of her death. He confirmed she had eaten after performing pooja and later had meals, countering the narrative that she hadn’t eaten at all.
He highlighted that while Shefali followed a disciplined diet and workouts, she also enjoyed small indulgences like ice cream and Chinese food. Her approach was always about balance and wellness rather than commercial anti-ageing treatments.
The Shefali Jariwala death news has gained wide attention, and Tyagi’s statement offers clarity amid widespread speculation, reinforcing that her lifestyle prioritized health, balance, and happiness over unverified treatments.
