The incident took place in the Kaima Tal area under Saksohara police station limits. According to local sources, three miscreants arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire without warning. The victim, identified as Gorelal Yadav, suffered a bullet injury to his head and another to his shoulder.
After the shooting, the attackers fled the spot on their bike. People nearby heard gunshots and ran outside to find Gorelal lying injured on the road. Locals quickly took him to Barh Sub-Divisional Hospital.
Doctors provided initial treatment and later referred him to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) due to his serious condition. Medical staff say his condition remains critical.
Police reached the scene soon after receiving information. Officers questioned witnesses and began scanning CCTV footage from nearby areas. Police officials said they are investigating the motive behind the attack and working to identify the suspects.
The incident has raised serious concerns about law and order in Barh, with residents demanding stronger police action.
