A Patna businessman shot incident created panic in the Shivpuri area of Patna after armed miscreants attacked a local trader late Tuesday night. The Patna businessman shot, identified as Dilip Kumar Singh, suffered a serious gunshot injury during the attack.
Dilip Kumar Singh, around 45, runs a construction materials supply business dealing in sand, gravel, and iron rods. The attack happened when he returned to his apartment in the Shivpuri Nala area and was walking toward the lift. Two men who were waiting there confronted him and fired at close range.
The bullet passed through his stomach, leaving him critically injured. Residents quickly rushed him to a private hospital in Patna, where doctors said his condition remains serious.
After the shooting, the attackers fired several rounds while escaping on a motorcycle toward Atal Path. Police recovered empty cartridges from the spot and began an investigation using CCTV footage.
Authorities are trying to identify the attackers and determine the motive behind the crime.
