Patna Rajendra Nagar jewellery robbery created panic on Tuesday morning when armed thieves attacked a businessman and stole jewellery worth ₹22 lakh. The Patna Rajendra Nagar jewellery robbery occurred near the busy Rajendra Nagar railway terminal around 8 am.
Businessman Vinod Kumar had just arrived from Hajipur carrying two bags filled with jewellery. His son, Ravi Kumar, came to meet him when five armed men suddenly appeared. They grabbed one of the jewellery bags and tried to escape.
The robbers fired shots to scare anyone who approached. Ravi tried to stop them, and they fired again, narrowly missing him. One attacker hit Ravi on the head with the butt of a pistol, injuring him. Despite the assault, father and son managed to stay safe.
The gang fled on motorcycles with the jewellery, leaving the area in panic. CCTV cameras captured the robbery, and police have started investigating. Officers are reviewing footage to identify the suspects, described as young men aged 19 to 30 wearing helmets to hide their faces.
The local community is alarmed after this bold incident, and police have assured strict action to catch the criminals.
