Political tension in Bihar has intensified after election dates were announced. The Pawan Singh and Jyoti Singh controversy has turned into a heated public issue. Locals in Rohtas district held a protest march against Bhojpuri singer and BJP leader Pawan Singh, led by Jansuraj leader Sameer Kumar. Protesters supported Jyoti Singh, accusing Pawan of abandoning her after the Karakat Lok Sabha campaign.
Speakers claimed that he used Jyoti Singh for political gains and later insulted voters by shifting loyalties. The situation worsened when Jyoti Singh went to meet Pawan at his Lucknow residence, leading to a public dispute and police involvement.
Pawan Singh later released a clarification, saying he respected the public and denied calling the police. He explained that officers were already present for security reasons. The dispute has become a major talking point in Bihar politics ahead of elections.
