Karimnagar: District Collector Pamela Sathpathi has requested a peaceful celebration of Ganesh Navratri and Milad Un Nabi festivals. She held a meeting with peace committee members and officials on Saturday at the Collectorate Auditorium to plan for the events.
The Collector emphasized coordination between the municipal, electricity, and police departments to ensure safety during the festivals. She instructed officials to inspect power lines, especially along Ganesh immersion routes, and take necessary precautions. Pamela also asked municipal authorities to manage lighting, sanitation, and other preparations.
She recommended setting up medical camps at immersion sites and deploying lifeguards and boats for safety. Authorities will monitor a control room throughout the festivities to address any issues promptly. She also assigned fire services, mining, and R&B departments specific tasks to manage.
Suda Chairman Komatireddy Narender Reddy confirmed the government has made all necessary arrangements. Police Commissioner Gaus Alam shared that the city will see around 3,300 Ganesh idols and urged organizers to cooperate with authorities to ensure smooth proceedings.
