Pedamadduru Farmers Show Strong Support as 313 Acres Are Pooled Under LPS
Farmers of Pedamadduru village near Amaravati handed over 313 acres of land within an hour of the launch of the Land Pooling Scheme (LPS), reflecting strong support for the capital city’s development. Addressing the gathering, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P. Narayana assured the farmers that Amaravati would be developed strictly in line with the permissions granted by the National Green Tribunal.
The Minister reiterated that the government remained committed to fulfilling every promise made to landowners under the LPS, including returnable developed plots, infrastructure, and welfare benefits. He said the renewed response from farmers demonstrated their confidence in the government’s intentions and its vision for Amaravati as a planned, green and inclusive capital.
Officials said the swift pooling of land marked a significant step in accelerating capital region development. Farmers expressed hope that the project would bring long-term growth, employment opportunities and improved living standards to the region.
