Piyush Goyal criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, calling him “immature” and saying he lacks understanding of the economy. The remarks came after Mr. Gandhi commented on issues related to India’s textile industry.
Mr. Goyal accused the Congress Party of being frustrated and relying on misinformation and fabricated claims instead of offering practical solutions or policies. He said spreading false statements about government initiatives is not helpful and only creates confusion among people and industry stakeholders.
The Union Minister defended the government’s efforts to support the textile sector, highlighting schemes that promote manufacturing, exports, and job creation. He said the government is committed to strengthening industries, boosting employment, and ensuring economic growth.
Mr. Goyal urged opposition leaders to focus on constructive suggestions instead of making baseless accusations that could harm public confidence and business development in the country.
