Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch a historic development package in Rajasthan on Thursday, coinciding with Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s birth anniversary. Projects worth over Rs 1,22,670 crore will be inaugurated and foundation stones laid in Banswara.
The Rs 42,000 crore Mahi Banswara Nuclear Power Project will become Rajasthan’s second nuclear plant. Under the Panchamrit Action Plan, clean energy projects and transmission systems worth Rs 63,683 crore will also be launched. Solar projects valued at Rs 14,445 crore and transmission lines worth Rs 13,183 crore will support the renewable energy transition.
Major water and road infrastructure projects worth Rs 20,833 crore and Rs 2,636 crore respectively will be inaugurated. Drinking water schemes worth Rs 5,884 crore will improve access for rural and urban communities. Social infrastructure projects include a new 250-bed RBM Hospital in Bharatpur and an IT Development Centre in Jaipur.
Connectivity and employment will also be enhanced. Three new trains will be flagged off, and appointment letters will be handed to 15,000 youth in Rajasthan. The package covering energy, water, healthcare, education, infrastructure, and employment aims to promote inclusive growth and self-reliance in the state.
