Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking in Gaya, Bihar, criticized leaders who remain in office even after serving jail time. He pointed to the 130th Constitutional Amendment Bill and slammed Congress for opposing it.
Modi compared the situation with government employees, who lose their jobs if they spend just 50 hours in jail. He asked why corrupt ministers should continue in power under different standards.
He stressed the need for political reforms and stronger accountability in leadership.
During the event, Modi also laid foundation stones for projects worth ₹13,000 crore and inaugurated completed works. These projects aim to improve infrastructure, boost connectivity, and support development in Bihar.
