Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Purnia Airport in Bihar on September 15. The focus key phrase “Purnia Airport Bihar” highlights its cultural and developmental importance. The new airport is decorated with images of temples, churches, forts, and Chhath traditions, reflecting religious harmony and the heritage of Purnia district.
This is Bihar’s fourth operational airport after Patna, Gaya, and Darbhanga. Purnia, called the “Gateway of North East,” will now connect the region with better air services. The inauguration is expected to boost industries, employment, and tourism in Bihar. Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav stated that the airport will attract industries, creating new opportunities for youth.
Preparations are underway with special cleanliness drives across Purnia city. The terminal offers modern facilities like child care rooms, differently-abled passenger amenities, smoking zones, and a medical inspection room. Security is managed by BMP, and a VVIP lounge has been built with portraits of national leaders.
With PM Modi’s inauguration, Purnia Airport Bihar becomes a symbol of cultural unity and modern development, ready to strengthen the state’s growth journey.
