PM Modi to Launch Bihar Election Campaign from Samastipur
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin the Bihar Assembly election campaign today from Samastipur, the birthplace of Bharat Ratna Karpoori Thakur, former Chief Minister of Bihar. The event will mark the formal launch of the National Democratic Alliance’s campaign for the upcoming state polls. Modi will pay floral tributes to Thakur before addressing a large public rally. Later in the day, he is also scheduled to speak at another rally in Begusarai. The BJP and its allies aim to strengthen their outreach across northern and central Bihar through these initial rallies. The Election Commission has scheduled polling in two phases, on November 6 and 11, with results expected later that month. The Prime Minister’s visit is being seen as a symbolic gesture to honour Thakur’s legacy while energising the NDA’s grassroots campaign and setting the tone for the high-stakes Bihar elections.
