The PM Poshan Yojana scam has surfaced in Bihar, where nearly 200 headmasters have been asked to explain irregularities. The PM Poshan Yojana scam involves suspected misuse of funds meant for school children’s meals.
The issue came to light in Siwan district during a review of school data. Officials found that several schools showed higher student numbers in reports than those recorded on the official portal. This raised concerns about possible misuse of food grains and government funds.
The education department has sent notices to all concerned headmasters and asked them to respond within two days. Authorities warned that strict action will follow if explanations are not satisfactory.
Officials have also directed block-level officers to verify data accuracy. The investigation is ongoing, and more action is expected against those found guilty.
