Pranjali Dhumal Shines With 25m Pistol Gold at Deaflympics, marking a proud moment for India. Pranjali Prashant Dhumal claimed the 25m Pistol Women’s gold, her second gold and third overall medal at the 25th Summer Deaflympics in Tokyo. She delivered a superb finals score of 34, finishing two points ahead of Ukraine’s Halyna Mosina.

South Korea’s Jiwon Jeon secured the bronze with 30 after a tight shootout with India’s Anuya Prasad, who finished fourth. Earlier, Pranjali teamed up with Abhinav Deshwal to win the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team gold, while Deshwal also triumphed in the men’s 25m pistol.

Pranjali dominated from the start in the final. She hit four of her first five shots and kept her lead until the ninth series, where she and Mosina were tied at 30. In qualification, Pranjali created history by breaking both the World Deaf Qualification record and the Deaflympics record with a score of 573-14x. Anuya Prasad followed with 569-15x.

Indian shooters now hold 16 medals at the Games—seven gold, six silver, and three bronze.
