Protest for Women Reservation Bill march by NDA women workers at Gandhi Maidan in Patna

Protest for Women Reservation Bill saw thousands of women activists take to the streets in Patna on Monday. Women workers from parties in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) gathered at Gandhi Maidan and marched toward Kargil Chowk to protest against opposition parties over the Women Reservation Bill issue.

The Protest for Women Reservation Bill included members of BJP, JD(U), LJP (Ram Vilas), HAM and other NDA allies. They carried the national flag and placards while raising slogans against parties like Congress, RJD, SP and TMC. Leaders said that more than one lakh women joined the march to express anger over the bill’s failure in Parliament.

Women participants started arriving in Patna from different districts on Sunday evening. By Monday morning, a large crowd had gathered at Gandhi Maidan before the march began around 11 am.

The rally passed through JP Golambar and reached Kargil Chowk, where a stage was arranged for speeches. Leaders, including Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, addressed the gathering and criticized opposition parties for opposing the proposed law.

Due to the huge turnout, traffic in several parts of the city slowed down. Police changed traffic routes to manage the crowd and ensure security during the march.
