PU Senate Election Schedule Update as Campus Tension Rises

PU Senate Election Schedule

PU Senate Election Schedule Update has stirred major activity on Panjab University campus, as student groups continue their agitation. PU Senate Election Schedule Update came at a crucial time when students announced a complete shutdown of the campus on November 26.

According to officials, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig will meet the Chancellor in Delhi on November 21. The meeting aims to address student protests and review the growing tension inside the university. VC Vig’s visit is expected to push discussions on the long-delayed Senate election schedule, which students have demanded for months.

PU Registrar Prof. Yadvinder Pal Verma released a video message saying that a positive solution may emerge soon. He emphasised that the administration understands the urgency and wants to restore normalcy on campus.

Meanwhile, student groups held separate meetings today and later united in announcing the November 26 shutdown. They also warned that the agitation will intensify if the schedule is not released quickly. Some groups said they may gherao BJP offices in the next phase of their protest.

The situation remains sensitive, but students believe that the upcoming Delhi meeting could finally deliver the clarity they have been waiting for.
