Public Satisfaction Is the True Measure of Officials’ Performance: Naidu
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has said that public satisfaction is the true measure of the performance of government officials. Addressing the valedictory session of the Collectors’ Conference in Vijayawada on Wednesday, he stressed that governance should be people-centric and focused on delivering visible results at the grassroots level.
Mr. Naidu announced that he would begin surprise field inspections from January to personally assess how far the government’s promises and welfare schemes are being implemented on the ground. He said such visits would help identify gaps in service delivery and ensure accountability among officials.
Emphasising outcomes over procedures, the Chief Minister urged district collectors and senior officers to work with a sense of responsibility and urgency. He noted that efficient administration, transparency and responsiveness to public needs were essential to rebuilding trust in governance.
Mr. Naidu also called for regular monitoring, use of technology and coordination among departments to improve service delivery. He reiterated that the ultimate goal of the administration was to improve the quality of life of people across the State.
