Rahul Soreng, son of Pulwama martyr Shaheed Vijay Soreng, has earned a place in the Haryana Under-19 cricket team. His achievement received special praise from former India opener Virender Sehwag, who congratulated him on social media.
Rahul has been studying at Sehwag International School since 2019 under Sehwag’s initiative to provide free education for martyrs’ children. Sehwag expressed his pride, saying he felt honored to support Rahul’s journey after his father’s sacrifice in Pulwama.
Earlier, Rahul represented Haryana in the Under-14 and Under-16 teams, including the Vijay Merchant Trophy. His steady progress in state-level cricket marks him as one of the most promising young players from the Sehwag School program.
Sehwag often shares updates about the children of martyrs training at his school. He earlier wrote, “Son of Heroes! It’s a privilege to support these kids and contribute to their lives.” Rahul continues to inspire many as he follows his father’s legacy with dedication and discipline.
